Document Retention in Utah
Has anyone destroyed a document today? No, I’m not talking about clandestine shredding in a dark back office. Certainly not all of you kept your lunch receipts. And I’d be surprised to learn that those of you who’ve been playing on your smartphones all morning haven’t deleted an e-mail or two (or did you dedicate all that time to Angry Birds?). Documents don’t get destroyed the same way they did a few generations ago—whether you threw away your receipt or deleted an e-mail, or just played Angry Birds all morning, you’ve left electronic
evidence behind that could be used by someone trying to follow your digital trail.
