Learn how to manage the import processes and understand what Customs expects of importers.

Despite the potential extreme difficulty in fulfilling this burden given the nature of the international transportation of merchandise, importers may be subject to significant civil penalties for failing to meet this burden. • You will be able to explain how to avoid Customs penalties for unpaid duties.

• You will be able to identify how to best manage import processes to avoid Customs penalties.

• You will be able to recognize when a Prior Disclosure should be filed with Customs.
